Wheel Throwing

In this 90-minute private session, you’ll get hands-on experience with the pottery wheel and create between 2 to 4 pieces, depending on your pace and comfort level. The focus here is all about having fun, exploring the clay, and being kind to yourself in the process. Whether you end up with a *mug, bowl, planter or something totally unique*it’s all part of the joy.
We’ll start with a 10 -minute demo to walk you through the basics, then the rest of the time is yours to play and create. After you've shaped your pieces, you’ll also get to paint them with underglazes to add your colorful touch.
Once you're done, we'll handle the glazing and firing to make everything food-safe and ready to use. Your finished pieces will be ready for pickup in about 2 weeks.

Slow down and sink into the tactile joy of hand-building with clay in this 90-minute session where creativity and personal expression take center stage.
This is a project-based class, meaning you’ll choose what you want to make—maybe a mug, a bowl, a piggy bank, or something completely your own. Have an idea in mind? We love a creative challenge and will help you bring it to life with simple techniques like coiling, slab building, or pinching.
Because hand-building is all about intention and detail, how many pieces you make depends on your chosen project. You might craft one thoughtfully detailed mug and take your time painting it, or you might explore and create a few smaller items—it’s really up to you.
All materials are included, and you’ll have time to paint your pieces before we handle the kiln magic. In about 2 weeks, your fully finished, food-safe ceramics will be ready for pick-up.
